1. Knez Mihailova Street

This legendary street extending from Republic Square to Kalemegdan is a pedestrian zone and shopping area protected by law as one Belgrade’s most important historical districts, with a large number of representative buildings and urban houses built at the end of 19th century. Enjoy hours of strolling, shopping and taking in the open-hearted spirit of Belgrade.

2. The Republic Square

The existing square was formed after the demolition of Stambol Gate and the construction of the National Theatre. The road to Istanbul (Stambol) led through the Stambol Gate. Today, Republic Square is a popular place for the young people to meet, everyone prefer the Square as an orientation point.

3. Saint Sava temple

Saint Sava Temple located in Vračar is an Orthodox church, the largest in the Balkans and is dedicated to Saint Sava, founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

4. Belgrade Fortress

This impressive citadel was the site of many battles throughout the history of Belgrade. It has been destroyed on numerous occasions over the centuries, and it makes for an interesting visit. 

5. Skadarska Street

Skadarska used to be the bohemian area of Belgrade in the 20th century, and it was popular with artists and poets. Now you can stroll along the cobbled streets, listen to musicians and stop off in a café or tavern as you explore.


6. Zemun Quay

This is a popular waterfront where you can go for a walk or ride your bike. You will find many bars and restaurants to stop off in along the way, and it is a good place to relax on a sunny day.


7. Mount Avala

You will find Mount Avala just outside of Belgrade, and you can go up to Avala Tower at the top to enjoy the viewing platform with excellent views of the city.


8. St Mark's Church 

The tomb of Emperor Dušan from the 14th century is located in this impressive church which is found in the Tašmajdan park. Explore the interior and go for a walk around the park while you are there.


9. Ada Ciganlija

Ada Ciganlija is an island on the Sava River as well as an artificial lake with a beach. It is popular in the summer when thousands of people hang out in the cafés and restaurants.


10.  Beton Hala 

Located in Karadjordjeva Street on the Sava River and near to Savamala, Beton Hala represents must visit place in Belgrade because of trendy restaurants and bars.
