Sport and Family Activities in Belgrade

Ada Ciganlija
Ada Ciganlija or “Belgrade Sea” is favorite spot of Belgraders. Ideal place for bathing along the 7 kilometers of gravel beach with public baths and showers. Also, you can row a boat, water polo, and water-ski or you can ride a bicycle, play football, basketball, volleyball, handball, tennis, golf etc. For total relaxation you can choose one of over 70 restaurants and cafes along the lake shoreline and the rafts.

Košutnjak Park
The forest-park and picnic ground of Košutnjak contains two specially arranged complexes: the sports and recreation centre Pioneer City and the Film City with a complex of ateliers and other facilities and devices for film production. Both summer and winter ski slopes operate on Košutnjak for winter sports enthusiasts.

Jevremovac Botanical Garden
The botanical garden is located in the heart of Belgrade and contains approximately 300 trees and bushes of local, European and exotic varieties. The greenhouse was built in 1892 and it was one of the most beautiful in this part of Europe.

Zoo – Garden of Hope
The Belgrade Zoo, also known as the Garden of Hope with over 2,000 animals from 200 species, is located in Kalemegdan Park. Founded in 1936, it is one of the oldest animal collections in Europe. The Belgrade Zoo works all 365 days of the year. The ticket office is open from 08:00-19:00.

The Belgrade Hippodrome was opened in 1914. and represents a modern facility, with restaurants and summer gardens provide for entertainment of the visitors.

Kombank Arena
Kombank Arena is located in New Belgrade and represents the largest event and sports with 20,000 seats for visitors and the latest equipment.
